Birthday

Four years ago on election day, I was TWO days shy of 18. This year I was able to vote for the first time, and yes, it was everything I thought it would be. I have written about my voting experience, but it's only half way written and it was much to special of an experience to leave out any detail... so I'll get to it sometime in the near future when I'm not working on a massive research paper.

Tonight I say goodbye to 21 and hello to 22. Now if I could just get through tomorrow without any of the freshman asking me how old I am so I can avoid the "wow you're old... will you buy me beer?" remark.

With school being insane there isn't much planned for celebrations. Quiet dinner with JR and some time with the girls. It will be a much needed break from my week of chaos.

I remember the days when I loved knowing that I was older than you, even if only by a few months. I fear we are reaching the point where the roles will be reversed. Voting in Gun Plain Township for the first time (yes, I neglected my rights and civil duty during the last election) was a wonderful experience. I so enjoy my freedom and the democratic country we live in. I'm sure you're jealous that you couldn't vote at home - where you go to the township hall and know 90% of the people there. Gotta love small town America. Happy Birthday Jo!!

Happy Birthday to the most wonderful daughter-in-law that anyone could hope for. Thank you for everything you have done for JR. God Bless You.

Happy(Belated)Birthday Josie!

Getting any snow up there? The flakes are falling down here today. Ugh, feel like hibernating.

High five on exercising your American right to VOTE!

Here's to the weekend,
